What is the Village of Macon?

This journal is about what I call “the village of Macon”, by which I mean the historic neighborhoods which radiate outward from the downtown area – Intown, Vineville, Pleasant Hill, Ingleside, Stanislaus, Cherokee Heights and, in the other direction across the Ocmulgee, North Highlands, Shirley Hills and Fort Hill. This is the part of Macon which I think of when I consider what makes Macon, Georgia interesting and unique. More...
